Ron has been married since November 10, 1984. He and his wife have three children and five grandchildren. Ron grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from Huffman High School. He obtained a scholarship to play football at Southern Mississippi until he had a knee injury.
Ron obtained a Bachelor in Science from Samford University, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University. He has served as pastor and interim pastor of congregations in Mississippi and Alabama from 1989 to 2019.
Redemption Ministry was started by Ron to encourage and aid hurting and wounded ministers and congregations in 2015. In March of 2019 he was enlisted to lead Journey of the Shoals.
Ron’s hobbies are grandkids, metal detecting, and officiating High School football.
Tim Copeland grew up in Scottsboro, Alabama. He played sports throughout high school. After high school he managed and owned several successful businesses in his hometown. Tim spent over 20 years incarcerated and came to salvation early in this part of his life. Today his desire is to help and aid men who desire to reenter the free world and know the freedom in Jesus he experienced.
